those-of-wit-and-learning replied to your post: I’m about to watch the last episode of the 2d season of the Ashes.

It’s a great finale - from what I can remember I think it’ll shock you. Be prepared for Series 3, though. it is just heartbreaking and so much better than Series 2.

Now, that’s what I call a proper encouragement! Thank you!) Going to report as soon as I watch it ;)

So you think season 3 is better than 2?

I don’t agree with that. Yes, the episodes of season 3 are good, but I think that the story with the mysterious soldier was just a way to end the show, as the actor didn’t want to go on. Some questions remain unanswered though, few details don’t make really sense… That’s my opinion ^^

But there is a lot of tension, suspens etc… You won’t get bored!

Sharpness of Life: Just finished the 6th episode of Life on Mars....

vlada-vvv:

This is probably the best TV show I have ever seen. I’m serious.

The idea itself is so amazing, I can’t stop thinking about its brilliance during every minute of every single episode. And the embodiment of this idea couldn’t be better.

When you’re watching it… you feel like you’re in this…

I enjoyed Life On Mars (the Brittish tv show, not the american one), but it was a little bit too slow for me. I’ve seen every episode though. But I really fell in love with Ashes to Ashes, which has more rythm, colors and certainlyh because it has more references that I can understand (as I was born in the 80s ^^).

I think you will really like this spin-off, even if I don’t personnally agree with the third season and the way the show ended

I want to show that from the negative, when you dare to see it, the positive is born, because there is the root to the good. I have inside myself, for example, a sharp aggression. But if you remove it, I loose my creativity. I have a great insecurity, but if you remove it, I also lose my sensitivity.

Okay, guys, some people don’t like Major Crimes, I get it, I can understand, when you very much liked Brenda in The Closer.

BUT

It is NOT the same show!!

You can make comparisons, that’s normal, but it seems logical in my point of view, that Major Crimes does not take the same direction than The Closer, both in the writing and the way cases are handled.

Seriously, I would have been really disappointed if the departure of Brenda wouldn’t have changed anything : it would have meant that she was quite easily replacable. It would have been too easy, even degrading for all actors (from The Closer and Major Crimes) but also for the fans, to try to make them believe that Detective Johnson was not really the leading character. The actress left and with her such a huge piece of what made the show that they’d rather call it an end.

I admit, I wasn’t convinced by the first episode of Major Crimes ; I LOVE Mary McDonnell, but I can be partial enough (I think) to see that it was not the best episode I’ve ever seen. The second one was much better, I think it was just the time everyone was settling in, finding their marks…

I really think it’s going to get better and better (like a good wine!)
